I grew up in Hammerfest, 600 kilometres above the Arctic Circle. I spent two summers working as a fish farmer at Cermaq — feeding, monitoring fish health, and maintaining sea pens in production volumes north of 100 tonnes — before moving south in 2022 to study informatics at the University of Oslo.
I finished my bachelor's in 2025 with a specialisation in programming and systems architecture. My interests are squarely on the backend and cloud side: building things that hold up in production, getting CI/CD right, and writing the kind of documentation a stranger could pick up six months later.
"I'd rather ship something small that runs reliably than something ambitious that breaks under load."
I completed mandatory military service in early 2022 and now serve as deputy squad leader (nestlagfører) in HV-17, the Home Guard district covering Finnmark. Outside of work I train at the gym, spend time outdoors, and read more nonfiction than is probably healthy.
